Twenty KS3 students travelled from Dammam to the Les Elfes Crans- Montana ski resort, in Switzerland this past March. Thirteen-year sevens, six-year eights and one year nine student from eight different countries spent six days learning to either ski or snowboard, during the heaviest snowfall the resort had all season.
The students spent five days in full-day ski/ snowboard lessons. The skiers finished off with a ski race on the final day of skiing and the snowboarders continued to learn how to turn on their edges and even hit a few small jumps.
After the students finished skiing for the day, the students participated in numerous afternoon activities. These included: playing games, arts, and crafts, going to the cinema, sledging and shopping for souvenirs. After dinner, the students also participated in a variety of evening activities as well which included: bowling, charades and trivia quizzes.
On the final day of the trip, the students visited the "Maison Cailler" chocolate factory, where they were able to sample many different types of chocolate and learn about the history of chocolate. In the afternoon, the students visited "Fun Planet," where they enjoyed go-karting and maneuvering their way through a challenging ropes course.
The staff and instructors at Les Elfes provided our students with a truly exceptional experience which allowed the students to create lifelong memories and make new friendships.
