The DBGS Open Day for prospective students was recently held in our Learning Commons. Presentations from Mrs Botha, Head of Primary and Mrs Cannon, Senior School Headteacher, highlighted how students are at the heart of everything we do in DBGS. The importance of student ownership and choice were explained, starting from our Phonics programme in the Early Years all the way through to our rich (I)GCSE and A level curriculum in the Senior School. Mr Bolton, DBGS Principal, talked about the importance of home-school relationships, and how a strong pastoral care ethos enables the smooth integration of new students into the diverse DBGS community. A teacher and student Q & A panel answered parents' questions on many aspects of school life, including; languages, after-school activities, music lessons, orchestra, subject choices and A-level results, finally parents were taken on a tour of the school by some of our wonderful student ambassadors.
